2026 Overington Scholarship Application

2026 OVERINGTON SCHOLARSHIP

Estimated Scholarship amount: One home-school award: $500
One K-12 faith-based private school award: $1000
Founded by John and JoAnn Overington

 Purpose: The Overington Scholarship Fund is to provide financial assistance to offset costs of K-12 private school tuition, OR, to offset costs associated with home school environment, such as textbooks, supplies, computer purchase, etc. (Note: Applications are currently being accepted for the 2025-2026 academic year.)

 Criteria: Recipient must be a resident of Berkeley County, West Virginia and currently attending a private K-12 faith-based school in the greater region, or currently benefitting from home-based schooling. May be renewable for up to five years. Applicants should apply directly to EWVCF by February 27th.

 Payment: Scholarship awards will be paid directly to the school. For home-schooled recipients, award payments will be made directly to a vendor. Awards may be paid directly to the recipient and his/her guardian on a reimbursement basis with receipts presented to validate purchases.

Please note: Individuals related to current EWVCF Board Members, staff, and/or the funds’ donors are not eligible.
