The Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation has two affiliates: Hampshire County Community Foundation and Hardy County Community Foundation.
Since being established, the Hampshire County Community Foundation has awarded grants totaling nearly $103,000. The organization has 13 component funds, which support everything from the local volunteer EMS service to youth health and wellness programs; from scholarships for students to grants to support mentoring programs; from substance abuse prevention to local food and nutrition programs.
The Hardy County Community Foundation, established in 2007, has also awarded grants, totaling over $107,000. The organization holds endowments for 12 component funds, which support everything from the Hardy County Public Library to the J. Allen Hawkins Park; scholarships for students to grants to support teachers; substance abuse prevention to local food and nutrition programs.
