Community Foundation Activates Emergency Response Fund
Food banks and pantries across our five-county area are facing an unprecedented surge in demand, as more individuals and families seek nutritional assistance. If you are looking for a meaningful way to support your neighbors during this critical time, please consider making a donation.
You can contribute directly to a charity of your choice by visiting the websites of local food banks and pantry sites provided below or contacting their offices to learn how best to help. Additionally, the Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation Emergency Response Fund offers a centralized way to support multiple organizations working tirelessly to meet these growing needs. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference in ensuring no one in our community goes hungry.
What is the EWVCF Emergency Response Fund?
The Eastern West Virginia Emergency Response Fund was established by the EWVCF Board to assist nonprofit organizations in the five-county region served by our Community Foundation (Berkeley Hampshire, Hardy, Jefferson, and Morgan) and will focus on critical needs as they arise across our community.
This pass-through fund is an extension of EWVCF’s commitment to supporting donors and nonprofit organizations in West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle. Individuals, corporations, donor advisors, and private foundations are encouraged to join EWVCF in these supportive efforts by contributing to the fund. All gifts are tax-deductible and 100% of the donations collected will be used to support local organizations as they adjust to changing demands. The Community Foundation will charge no fees for administering this special pass-through fund.
