Partners in Philanthropy

The Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation enjoys the support of many businesses in the area. Our Partners in Philanthropy contribute amounts ranging from $1,500 to $3,500 per year. These sponsorship dollars pay for the Scholar’s & Donor’s Reception where we recognize area students and award more than $120,000 in scholarships, the Partners in Philanthropy Mini-Grants to Teachers Celebration that honors area teachers with small grants in the fall, and our Emeritus Council and Nonprofit Leaders Luncheon where we present grants to Eastern Panhandle charities.

Our Partners in Philanthropy also fund challenge grants to help build the endowments of our Community Impact Funds which were established in each of the three Eastern Panhandle counties to support causes specific to the county. Total contributions from our Partners in Philanthropy amount to nearly $25,000 annually and these funds are vital to the success of our many community outreach programs.

We hope you will download our Partners in Philanthropy application and join these other outstanding corporate sponsors. Please call Michael Whalton at 304-264-0353 if you have any questions about our Partners in Philanthropy program or if you would like information about how your company or business can create an endowed fund at the Community Foundation.
