Rotary Club of Charles Town Awards $5,000 to EWVCF
On Wednesday, December 13, a total of $52,000 was distributed by the Rotary Club of Charles Town to 17 nonprofit organizations that continue doing incredible work every day throughout West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle.
Grant recipients were:

- Horses with Hearts
- Community Combined Ministries Kidz Power Pacs
- Charles Town Farmers Market, WV
- Jefferson County Community Ministries
- Children’s Home Society of West Virginia Martinsburg
- ShelterBox USA
- Jefferson County Council on Aging
- Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County
- WVU Medicine Berkeley and Jefferson Medical Foundation
EWVCF Executive Director Michael Whalton accepted the $5,000 grant from Rotary Club of Charles Town President Amy Wix Loera during the Club’s annual Christmas for Charities luncheon held at the Corner Connection in Charles Town.
The contribution to the Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation has been added to the Rotary Club of Charles Town Scholarship Fund. Established several years ago by the club, the fund annually awards a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior from Jefferson and Washington High Schools.
